Quarantine Thoughts

How's everyone doing? Happy quarantine, guys. Is it Day-9? I honestly can't even keep track of this since I've been spending most of my time at home even before all this Restricted Movement Order (RMO) or Movement Control Order (MCO) thingy.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was on my semester break for one whole month. Besides going to Ipoh for a few days, all I did was sleep, eat, play games, cook, bake and watching movies. Repeat, every single day for that one freaking month. Lol. Since I'm too broke to go out, I just love being at home.

But now... guess what? I, myself, can't even believe that I'm still at home now. This week, this particular week, is supposed to be the 1st week of my 2nd Semester in medical school. Seriously. I'm supposed to be at college now, but yup, it's not happening. At first, it was quite 'exciting' to have some kind of extended semester break, but to rethink of it, there are lots of cons as well.

I've been really preparing physically and mentally to start my student life again after this full one month of holiday. It was not that easy, trust me. Don't get me wrong, I love my life as a student, it's just, I'm so going to miss home and those moments of doing absolutely nothing. No stress, no pressure, nothing! Anyway, yeah, I'm not going back to my university any time soon. Not until this pandemic is over. My preparation was a waste, I guess? Hahahah.

At first, before all this quarantine phase, most of the universities in Malaysia have started to cancel all physical classes and lectures, also all programs and activities. For my university (UPM), initially, there was going to be online classes or "kuliah maya" to replace all the canceled classes. So technically, I'm still starting my 2nd Semester this week, but at home. I'm still going back to my student life this week, it's just that I can be in pyjamas while listening to my lectures! Lol.

However, when the government announced the RMO / MCO, the university had to cancel everything, including the online classes. Can you believe that? As I said before, there are pros and cons of this. Pros; additional 2 weeks of holiday for us, woohoo! Cons; lots of classes to be replaced soon, meaning that our schedule is going to be even more packed, hence, more stress! Aha!

Yay or nay?

Then, the university decided that normal classes will begin on the 6th of April. But now... I guess everyone's aware that the RMO has been extended until 14th April. Ya Allah. I knew it. I knew they're going to extend it. Seeing the number of COVID-19 patients increasing by hundreds every day just scares me.

It makes me overthink a lot about what's going to happen next to all of us. Not just the students, but all Malaysians. So far, my university haven't release any statements yet. Hence, I don't even know when exactly I need to back in college. So many 'what if' questions playing around in my head.

It was quite frustrating for me at first. I'm really worried about my studies.

Nevertheless, I believe that everything happens for a reason. Maybe Allah is trying to show us something, maybe a lesson. Or maybe our planet just needs a break for a little while. Everything happens under Allah's plan, right? To all the COVID-19 patients out there, or anyone with a friend or relative that has been infected, please stay strong. May Allah bless you guys with better health.

Not to forget, shout out to all the front-liners out there who has been through a lot since the beginning. To all the doctors, nurses, volunteers, whoever you are, thank you so much for the sacrifice. May Allah protect all of you. May Allah reward you guys for all the good deeds.

The best thing that all of us can do now is just stay at home and pray. Stay at home, and pray. I know for some people, it's hard to not going out. I'm also getting super duper bored already, doing the same routine every single day. Still, this is the only way and the best that we could do to stop the spread of the virus. And also, don't forget to always sanitize your hand! Wear a mask if needed.

All in all, I pray that this COVID-19 Pandemic will be over soon. Not just for Malaysia, but the whole world. I heard that China is getting better day by day, which is good. Italy is not getting much better yet, sadly. Please don't stop praying for Malaysia and the world. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon, at least, before Ramadan. Aamiin inshaAllah.

Salam Ramadan, Everyone!

It has been a long time, right? Hello there! Damn, this is awkward. I haven't updated since forever. Lol. Well, all I can say is that I was super damn busy with work. Yes, I did get a part-time job, guys! Just as I planned in my previous post. I won't share too many details about it yet, I'll be making a separate post about my first every job experience. Hehe.

After a few months of getting paid, I finally spent some of my money for this blog! I've been waiting to do this for soooooooo long. Now, I finally got my own domain, www.liyanajasmi.com and also a Blogger template I've always wanted. I'm using a template by UnderlineDesigns. They sell beautiful templates at affordable prices. The domain service I'm using is by NetKL, which costs RM45 per year. Yay, my dreams came true!

Overall, I'm really happy with my blog now. After a few days of editing, I would say I'm 99% satisfied with how it looks. Alhamdulillah, rezeki bulan Ramadan gitu. Speaking of that, happy fasting to all Muslims! It's almost middle of Ramadan now. How time flies, right? May this honourable month full of blessings and forgiveness for everyone. I wish you guys a delightful Ramadan ahead!

Since my blog looks pretty fresh and new now, I feel very excited to continue updating! Lol, I know I always say this but this time, I will try to keep this blog updated since I have about 1 month left before continuing my studies. Cause I will be definitely even busier after that. I really miss this keyboard, ugh!

Please stay tuned! Salam Ramadan, peeps 💕

P.s; Really can't wait for Raya. I've been making kuih raya since before Ramadan! CORNFLAKES MADU IS LIFE. Fight me.

Unboxing A Mystery Box from Eyqa

Hey there! Alhamdulillah, I got to update again as it is currently Chinese New Year school holiday! Although I still have tonnes of homework to do and an upcoming English oral test next week, I feel like writing instead. The problems I've stated in my previous post are not done yet, but whatever it is, I'm not leaving my blog yet. So here I am, writing a post that I've procrastinated to do it for a very long time.

This is a post that I've promised someone to write one, which is Eyqa. Although she had changed her blog name, you might know her as DEWI. Without her, this post will not even exist. Before I start, I would like to give big thanks to Eyqa for giving me this amazing box! If you've ever been to my second blog, you might notice that I've joined a contest held by her at the end of last year, which is a Mystery Box Giveaway!

Alhamdulillah, I won the giveaway! Thank you so much for picking me as the winner, Eyqa. And I'm very sorry for being very late on posting this unboxing post. I had received the box weeks ago, and the pictures here were all taken on the day I got it. This post has been in my drafts for some time, so yayyy finally I got to publish it! So, without further do, let's see what's in the very mysterious box!

It is wrapped in this adorable polka-dot gift wrapper. The box inside is a shining silver box!
"Happy unboxing Liyana Jasmi! Sincerely, Eyqa of Dewi"
I'm already happy when I received the box, Yayyy, let's dig in!

There is a total of 6 items in the mystery box! I swear everything in it are amazing. Plus, Eyqa left a cute pinky note on each one of them! Let's got through them!

The first thing I grabbed from the mysterious box was this very cute strawberry keychain. I'm currently using this on my home keys!
"DEWI was originally named with ICHIGO. It's meant strawberry & I can't move on from the fruit."

The next thing in the box is this eye mask! I swear it is so cute. There's actually a little mouth between both of the eyes, behind the pink note. I have used this a few times already, hehe.
"For you to sleep well at night!"
Awwwwww, I did!

Next, a notebook! Fun fact, I love notebooks. I used to collect lots of notebooks because I love to write so much. I have a friend who gives notebooks as my birthday present every year!
"Do not limit your imagination."
Seems like Eyqa knows me well!

I couldn't find the pink note for this one but heyyy, a mask! I don't usually wear masks; I did only for a few times. But I must say that I'm pretty excited for this one! I haven't tried it out yet because I love it too much that I still want to keep it (feel me? lol). No worries, I will definitely use it as soon as possible! And if it's good then I'm so going to buy more of it hehe.

Omg, Eyqa gave me the first ever novel by Zoe Sugg aka Zoella entitled Girl Online! Gosh, I wish I could read this like right now, but my mum only lets me read SPM related book (seriously). She would be mad if she knew I still read novels because she knows that I might abandon my studies. Lol,  just kidding. But ayyy, I'm so freaking excited to read this!
"A book about blog! So you'll remember how we met! :D"
Awwwww, of course, I will!

Last but not least, a black and pink shirt by Manuk Tarabang! This shirt fits me perfectly. The words written on it are " Bebeh #SUMANDAKSABAH" with the brand logo. Another fun fact, I love to collect shirts too! Especially jerseys. So, yayyy for another shirt to add to my collection!
"Best selling cloth from one & only Manuk Tarabang."

Those are all 6 gifts Eyqa sent to me in the mystery box. Thank you so much for these prizes! I didn't expect to get these much items from you, hehe. Plus, they're all amazing! I love and appreciate every single one of the gifts, and I'm so excited to use them soon and more! It's very kind of you to give away these gifts to people, Eyqa. And not forgetting all the pink notes you've left for me! I still keep all of them, tho. Hehehe.

Now I feel like doing giveaways like this too, where I give mysterious prizes to random blogger! Isn't that awesome? Hehe, maybe after SPM? Insya'Allah.

It was a great unboxing experience as it was a mystery box. I was very curious to see what's inside! So, that's that for today. Now, I need to finish up my homework and get my oral test script done. I'll be back with more great post and stories!

Just Some Random Talking

I want to update my blog, but I swear I don't feel like writing a regular, niche kind of post. I just want to talk. I always have random thoughts or things that I want to share with you guys, but they're just too random. I've been reading lists of blog post ideas, and none of them suits my writing mood right now. So, let's just do some random talking, shall we?

I have a heap of things I want to talk about, mostly are about my personal life. I mean, updating about what's going on in your life currently isn't wrong right?

#1 Giveaways! - It's been years since the last time I've sponsored giveaways. I love sponsoring giveaways because I don't know how to hold one myself. I did my own giveaway once in 2013 but I still prefer sponsoring. So currently, I'm sponsoring two giveaways by CikPurple and Mellya! Go check them out and don't forget to join, there are lots of interesting prizes to win!
- November Giveaway by CP (ongoing)
- End Year Mini Giveaway by Mellya & Friends (ongoing)

#2 Updated my Tumblr Theme - I was scrolling through my Blogger dashboard, and I got so damn bored. I don't feel like writing or even blogwalking, so I decided to go to my other blog which is on Tumblr! I haven't been on Tumblr for a few months, so I decided to change my template. I searched for minimalist Tumblr templates, and I found one by Zen Themes. It's not that perfect, but I love how simple it is. Check out my Tumblr blog HERE!

#3 Current Favourite Songs - I really want to share these songs with you guys! I'm so addicted to these songs right now that I play this playlist at least 3 times a day! Please listen to them if you're free. These are the songs that have been on my favourite playlist currently;
• When We Were Young - Adele
• Don't Wanna Know - Maroon 5
• 24K Magic - Bruno Mars
• Runnin' - Pharrell
• Starving - Hailee Steinfeld
• Side To Side - Ariana Grande (ft. Nicki Minaj)
• Heathens - Twenty One Pilots

#4 Marvel's Doctor Strange - I was thinking of doing a separate post about this, like a movie review or something. But then I'm just not good at reviewing things ... too bad. So I'll just talk about this film here. Yes, I watched Marvel's Doctor Strange two weeks ago. It was okay, kind of nonsense. I love Marvel Movies so much, and I couldn't even miss one. So far, this is the ridiculous one that I've ever watched after Guardians of the Galaxy. Don't get me wrong; I still enjoyed it! Overall, I gave it 7.5/10. The ratings are 8/10 IMDb, 90% Rotten Tomatoes and 4/5 Common Sense Media.

#5 I still have school? - The SPM is currently ongoing; the other forms get lots of school holidays. The form 4 students only have two days of school per week for this month. Some of my classmates have already started their school holidays. Me? I still go to school. The whole class was just playing. We played Uno Cards, Tumblin' Monkeys and Saidina. I mean, it's not that bad. At least we get to play with our friends and bring our handphones. Maybe staying home is better, but I just feel like going to school. Weird? Probably.

#6 My Final Exam results - Okay, to be honest, I still go to school mainly because I want to get my final exam results. I know, we can obviously check our results online at the SAPS website, but I want to get the papers. I want to study my mistakes and ask teachers about them (and maybe getting extra marks for the correct points that the teachers have accidently missed). Alhamdulillah, I did achieve my target for each subject (except for English because of the Writer's Block I had during the exam, I've talked about it here). So far, I'm satisfied with my results. There are three papers left that we haven't got. So, I guess I'm still going to school next week then?

#7 Going on a vacation! - As I said, I will only have school on Monday and Wednesday every week in this month, so my mom decided to bring me (and my brothers) on holiday! My brothers still have school every weekday, but I don't want to be alone, so my mom agreed to let them join. This holiday is mainly because of my mom who's having lots of meetings and press conferences at hotels lately, so she wants us to company her at the hotel. We're going to Port Dickson and Kuantan! Yayyyy! I'll be back in KL on Sunday.

#8 Craving for sushi - Who doesn't like sushi? I mean, of course, some people don't. For me, sushi is life. I loved sushi so much that I even planned to get a part-time job at Sushi King after SPM next year. I had sushi like only two weeks ago, but I just can't get enough of it! Believe me or not, I even listed all the sushi names that I want to get at Sushi King with the actual prices. Aaahh this is just because of the time of the month I guess, I'm just craving too much!

These are just my random thoughts that I want to share with you guys. I enjoy writing this kind of post! Maybe I should do some kind of series of posts like this? Where I just talk about random things that are happening in life. Would it be interesting?

Do share some random thoughts you have in the comment section down below!

#KrafRaya16 !

I had a school trip yesterday! Yayyy, lama tak pi lawatan. Dekat sekolah, Yana ahli Kelab Kebudayaan ((eceyyy)) and the trip was for the members of the club. We went to Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur!

Haa, mula-mula lawatan dulu. Tour guide dekat situ bawa kitorang ke Muzium Kraf! Muzium kraf tu ada macam-macam la, mostly barang-barang anyaman. Batik pun banyak! Kain songket pun ada.

Ada jugak tempat diorang demonstrasikan cara-cara buat batik. Haaa time ni la Yana belajar macam mana nak buat batik! Tapi yang simple punya je la, guna cat air. Best juga tau! Ada juga orang yang tunjuk macam mana nak buat kain songket guna mesin manual tu. Cantik!

Batik cat, batik sulat, batik cop, haa banyak lah!

Haaa lepas tu, baru shopping raya! Sebenarnya, bukan lawatan sangat pun. Hehehehehehe, sekarang tengah ada Warna-Warni Aidilfitri 2016 dekat sana! Macam sale raya la. Colours of Aidilfitri 2016! Haa, sebab tu cikgu bawak kitorang datang sini, nak shopping raya! Eceyyy.

Macam-macam ada dekat situ. Jubah, baju kurung, tudung, telekung, haaa everything lah! Semua colours ada tau, memang warna-warni sangat! Yang special nya, mostly clothing kat situ design batik. Nama pun Kompleks Kraf kan. Ehhh tapi design lain pun ada jugak, don't worry. Haaa design semua cantik betul, handmade batik design. Dah kata handmade, harga mesti lain sikit kan! Yana tak beli apa-apa clothing pun sebab tak cukup duit hmmm.

#KrafRaya16

Dah tu Yana beli apa? Kuih raya! Tak dapat baju takpa, dapat kuih yay. Haaa kat #KrafRaya16 ni banyak jual makanan juga tau. Kuih raya, rendang, kek, and more.

Haaa takpa, takpa. Ada masa lagi nak shopping sana. #KrafRaya16 ni berlangsung dari 22 Jun hingga 3 Julai tau! Siapa yang belum shopping raya atau nak shopping lagi tu haa datang lah sini. Tak jumpa warna baju yang korang nak? Haaa #KrafRaya16 ni semua warna ada! Makanan pun ada tau! Ceyyyy.

Okay lah korang, that's that for today. I'll update more soon yaa!
Byeeeeee!

One More Week

Hmm, so it's December 7th. Wow, time flies. One more week until what?

What's gonna happen in a week? Next Monday, you mean?
Hmmmmm, what's the date?

December 14th, 2015.

..........................
So .................
Aha?

I'm going to school next Monday. Yeah we have to start our school season for 2016 a little bit early as we've already had lots of school holidays this year.

Just kidding! Lol, sorry.
All form 3 students will be going to school next Monday. Haih, apa lagi.

PT3 2015 Results.

AHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA.
I'm so, so, sooooo not ready.

Although we've actually already knew our marks, since we've done the 'semakan teknikal' thingy last month. Tapi, atas slip tu bukannya markah, kan? Grades. Haih, yes we've already checked each PT3 papers we took last October. But, we only knew the marks, not grades.

Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia are the ones that going to decide what are the grades for each subject. Sepanjang tahun ni, 85% baru A. 69% dah C. PMR dulu 39% tu E, PT3 pulak 39% tu fail dah. Tapi, masa semakan teknikal hari tu, semua cikgu kata gred PT3 tahun ni turun, macam last year. Hihu, insya'Allah.

Sooooo, seminggu lagi results. Doakan Yana dan form 3 students results cemerlang ya? Hihihi, thank you! Yana doakan semua PT3 Candidates 2015 dapat results cemerlang, terbilang dan gemilang. Ceh! Hahahahahah, insya'Allah ya semua. Amin!

All the best!
Redha dan tawakal dengan keputusan-Nya.
Babai 👋

Tired, Very Tired.

Lately I'm not feeling very well. Still kinda tired, I guess. And a little bit sick. I was on a few vacations as I mentioned in my previous post. Then, a few dramas and bullshits hit up me and my friends. UGH. So damn tired of people who keep on pointing out others mistakes and not realizing theirs. I'm pretty sure I'm going to write a post and rant every single thing about this too, soon. Some people just don't understand what friendship really means. Haih, dramas.

I'm going back to my hometown in Banting, Selangor in a few hours. I didn't even pack anything yet, I was too busy uploading pictures on Facebook of my road trip with my cliques. Don't worry, I'll share some of the pictures here soon. I've promised to write a post about the trips I went to for the past week. I'll write them as soon as I get back in KL.

This post is also just a quick update from me. Sorry for being quite inactive, I'm too tired to be online. And not really in a good mood. Feeling like a mood swing, I guess I'll have my time of the month soon. HAHAHAHA joking.

That's that for now. I'll update more soon, okay? Bye 👋

Quick Update

It has been a long time since my last update, sorry.

I can't really say that I'm busy because it's currently school holidays, right? Well, I just don't have any mood to write, you know. Forcing myself to update without an actual mood for it, wouldn't be necessary. Jadi macam tak ikhlas pulak entri tu, kan? Hahahahah.

I actually just got back from a not-so-far vacation with my family, at a resort in Cyberjaya. I'm planning to write a post about it later. I won't write about it now as it is almost midnight and my mom won't let me blogging or do any other gadget activities late night.

Speaking of that, that is also one of my main reasons why I can't update often. My laptop got broke and I only have a PC, which is under my mom's control. You know, there's a password to unlock this computer and only my parents know it. So I only get to update when my mom unlock it. Damn, I really wish I could fix my laptop.

Tomorrow I'll be going on another short vacation, with my best friends. It will be my first road trip with friends and of course, I'll share about it soon. SO DAMN EXCITED! Can't wait to tell you guys about it.

If you guys have been visiting my blog, you probably know some of my series like Musical Monday and Faithful Friday. Sadly, I've deleted them. Sorry for that. I'm only keeping my Wordless Wednesday series. This is because I can't update often and I've also decided that I want to keep this blog more personal, you know like, a journal or a diary, which means I'm going to post more about what's happening in my life. Kind of. Okay, honestly I'm not really sure what I'm doing but don't worry. I'm still here and I'm going to update more and more about life, for sure, insya'Allah.

Whatever it is, I'm going to share more about my vacays, so stay tuned! I'll be back in a few days, insya'Allah.

That's it for now. Talk to you later, thanks for reading 😊
